Accreditation
Victoria Surgery is accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia as a fully equipped operating facility in good standing. The rigorous accreditation process involves an on-site inspection by a team of examiners who review all aspects of the facility.
Emphasis is put on patient safety, with the requirement to have emergency equipment and protocols in common with the hospital. Standards for sterilization, cleaning, staffing levels, and requirements for levels of competence are all clearly outlined. Nothing is left to chance. All surgeons and anesthesiologists are board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
